Life skills courses from the acknowledged experts in relationships

With over 80 years’ experience Relate Kent is in a prime position to offer relationship skills workshops for professionals and individuals.

Relate Kent trainers are practising Counsellors who have been selected and trained at national level.  They are more than qualified in the techniques required to provide highly effective training. We work in an experiential way, allowing time for people to share issues, develop teamwork and new skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

Courses for Professionals:
Our workshops are aimed primarily at those involved in caring for others, managing a team, or in jobs where communicating effectively forms an integral part of their work.  Although most professions and organisations do provide in-house training, we have found that there is an increasing demand for external expertise in specific areas.

Sample Courses available:

  • Counselling Skills for Non Counsellors – from 1 day up to 3 days skills course.
  • Supporting Distressed & Emotional Clients
  • Dealing with Disclosure
  • Managing Change

We also design and deliver tailor-made courses for organisations with specific needs, e.g. supporting people who have experienced difficult life changes such as divorce, separation or illness, both mental and physical.

We can work directly with service users, helping them deal with the challenges they may be facing.

Costs vary according to content and duration.  Most workshops can be offered as a one-day course for a minimum of 6 participants (maximum 14).

Courses for individuals and couples

Our external programmes are for individuals who could benefit from help either with their personal relationships or with critical points in their lives, for example divorce, separation, depression and other life changes or relationship concerns which can have a significant impact on both the person and their wider family and community.

Do you work in a supportive role?  Are you required to offer support to others, discuss sensitive issues or have difficult conversations?  Relate can help you to develop essential counselling skills, interview management techniques and enable positive change. Successful completion of this course can also provide access on to further Relate training.    ONLY £282 FOR THE 3…
