Training courses: Schools and colleges

Schools and colleges:

We offer short workshops for young people on issues such as raising self esteem, healthy relationships, managing conflict, dealing with peer pressure and stress, coping with family dynamics and peer mentoring.  Also workshops for teachers and school staff on counselling skills, supporting distressed students; workshops for parents.

Recent review from Prince’s Trust Medway:

“In early November Launch Pad worked with Lynne and Rosie from Relate Kent to design and deliver a bespoke mental health workshop to address some of the difficulties facing our young people today. The 1 day workshop was attended by 8 young people and was set in a local location that was familiar to Launch Pad participants; “Heart of the Community” in Chatham. Helpful topics chosen by the young people, Launch Pad staff and Relate were discussed, such as how to maintain healthy relationships, how to end relationships in a positive way, how to let go of anxiety and how to deal with conflict. Feedback from the young people was overwhelmingly positive and they left the day with new ways of thinking and positive coping skills to support their mental health in the future.”
